Armenian 3D studio app winner at Apple Design Awards
The Armenia-based Triada Studio has won a prize at the recent Apple Design Award for the game Shadowmatic.
The game uses highly detailed 3D rendering techniques to combine a puzzler and a shadow play, TechCrunch reports.
The award event was held on Monday.
Shadowmatic is an imagination-stirring puzzle where a player rotate abstract objects in a spotlight to find recognizable silhouettes in projected shadows, relevant to the surrounding environment.
The game combines stunning visuals with relaxing and captivating gameplay. On your journey to discover the right solution you will stumble upon many unexpected and infinitely varied silhouettes.
The project is focused on delivering immersively photorealistic graphics across iOS devices, combined with gameplay that’s stimulating, challenging, and relaxing at the same time. The game features 9 rooms, each flavored with unique concept, atmosphere and music. The music is best experienced with headphones, and is available separately on iTunes.
The game includes a system of hints. To enjoy the game to its fullest, however, we recommend resorting to them on rare occasions only.
More details about the game can be found at Shadowmatic.com.
The game is downloadable from Apple's official website.
