Armenian president hosts participants of IT forum

Serzh Sargsyan on Monday received the participants of the Yerevan-hosted IT forum “Communication for Communication, the presidential press service reports.

The event, being held in Armenia’s capital from June 29 to 30, was organized by the National Committee of Television and Radio. Its sponsors are the Cable Broadcasting Association of Armenia and the London International Institute of Communications.

The guests briefed the president on the importance and objectives of the meeting, emphasizing the need of exchanging experience and developing cooperation in the rapidly developing internet era.

Fabio Colasanti, the president of the International Institute of Communications, said he was positively impressed by the first day’s debates and expressed hope for repeated meetings of the kind in future.

The president hailed the heads of the foreign delegations, as well as the event in Yerevan, highlighting the importance of the tasks set and the agenda issues discussed. He wished the participants a further success.
