Armenian FM hosts newly appointed German ambassador
Germany's newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia Matthias Kiesler has handed over the copies of his credentials to Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian. The Minister expressed hoped that new Ambassador will contribute to strengthening and deepening of Armenia-Germany relationship. For his part Ambassador assured that he would spare no effort for deepening of cooperation.
The interlocutors noted importance of exchanging visits and expanding contractual framework. Minister Nalbandian also hailed the statement by German President Joachim Gauck on the Armenian Genocide. The sides discussed Armenia-EU issues and touched upon upcoming Germany's presidency of OSCE. They exchanged views on international and regional matters as well as an agreement on Iranian nuclear program. T
he Minister briefed German diplomat on the recent developments over Karabakh peace process, as well as the efforts of Armenia and OSCE Minsk Group.
