Armenia is ready to move forward on the way of reasonable concessions
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan hosted President of the European Council Donald Tusk on Monday.
Following the bilateral talks, Armenia’s leader made a statement.
“We have recorded dynamic development of Armenia-EU relations. This is evidence of mutual political will and willingness – the most important thing, a common set of values, which is the basis for our development. I am sure our closer relations and further democratic processes and reforms in Armenia will prove permanent.”
“However hard Azerbaijan is trying to distort the essence of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, a free expression of will by the Nagorno-Karabakh people has not been called into question for long. Moreover, it is recorded in the statements by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs,” Armenia’s leader said.
In this context, Armenia is ready to move forward on the way of reasonable concessions.
Summing up, President Serzh Sargsyan stated that Mr Tusk’s visit is the best evidence of mutual understanding between Armenia and the European Union (EU) and mutual interest in developing ties and contacts.
