Armenia’s premier, Italian ambassador discuss economic cooperation
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received on Wednesday Italian Ambassador Giovanni Ricciulli.
Armenia’s premier commended bilateral political, economic and humanitarian cooperation.
Elaborating on economic cooperation, Mr Abrahamyan pointed out a two-fold increase in Armenian-Italian trade in the first half of 2015 as compared with last year. Armenia’s premier highlighted intensification of business contacts, stating the Armenian government’s willingness to discuss any mutually beneficial proposals.
As Armenia’s premier, Mr Abrahamyan will do his utmost for development of Armenian-Italian relations.
In his turn, Mr Ricciulli stressed Italy attaches high importance to expanding cooperation with friendly Armenia in different areas. Italian businessmen are greatly interested in the Armenian market. Mr Ricciulli is ready to inform Italian businesses of Armenia’s favorable business environment. He stressed that Armenia’s membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) affords new opportunities for Italian investors.
The sides also discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
