ARF-D has no intention to support anyone unconditionally – Armen Rustamyan
We have not supported and are not going to support anyone unconditionally, head of the ARF-D faction Armen Rustamyan told the reporters on Tuesday, referring to the observation that the ARF-D supports Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan.
“We say - do not judge not to be judged, if you judge, do it without emotions. One should not fight against injustice in unjust way. This is what we say, be it Robert Kocharyan or anyone else,” Rustamyan said.
Asked whether he considers charges against Kocharyan a political persecution and whether the second president may be considered a political prisoner, Rustamyan said that there are 5 things that should first be proved.
“We may speak of political persecution if one of these things fails to be proved,” he said, adding that a person should be charged based on weighty facts and not be charged first with an attempt to prove his guilt.
