Georgian railway to offer Armenia discount system for cargo transportation
With the decision of the Georgian government the import of wheat and other grain through land route will be banned from September 15.
The transportations must be organized via water and then railway, Armenia’s Transport, Communication and Information Technology Ministry reports.
This decision refers to all the countries implementing such cargo transportations through Georgia’s territory.
To prevent the raise of tariff for Armenia in conditions of suggested transportation ways, negotiations are being held between the heads of South Caucasian and Georgian Railways.
According to initial agreement, the Georgian side will offer discount system for Armenia which supposes no tariff change for cargo transportation.
