Georgian Railway offers 52% discount for Poti-Armenia grain cargo transportation
South Caucasian Railway company and Georgian Railways company have come to agreement, according to which the grain cargo transportation tariffs from Poti port to Armenia lower by 52% from September 1.
It has been reported earlier that with the decision of the Georgian government the import of wheat and other grain through land route will be banned from September 15. This decision refers to all the countries implementing such cargo transportations through Georgia’s territory.
To prevent the raise of tariff for Armenia in conditions of suggested transportation ways, negotiations were held between the leaderships of South Caucasian and Georgian Railways.
