Rise of import tariffs not the best decision in today’s Armenia – protesters

The rise of import tariffs in today’s Armenia was not a right thing to do, chairman of the “Solidarity” NGO Armen Nersissyan, who joined today the protesting traders at government building said.

He stressed that two months ago he addressed letter to Pashinyan, presenting a project on protection of interests of small and medium-sized enterprises.

“Everything was written literary on how improve their conditions but no response has been received yet,” he noted.
Nersissyan said that they are going to conduct the protest rally until 4.00 pm and called on traders of other trade centers, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs join the peaceful protest action.

“We will stand here and patiently wait for meeting with Pashinyan. We were ready for disputes with previous government because of their speaking style and ignorance but as far as it is Mr Pashinyan, and we have joined him in this revolution, we will stand calm and ask for reviewing the tariffs,” he said.
