Criminal case filed on the basis of media publication relating to Armenia’s ex police chief
Armenia’s Special Investigative Service has opened a criminal case with the materials prepared on the basis of publication of Hetq.am, according to which Armenia’s ex police chief Vladimir Gasparyan acquired 3 million USD worth mansion by 200,000 USD.
Preliminary investigation is underway.
According to media’s publication, Gasparyan is living with his family in the mansion near Victory Park which in 2013 was loaned in Ameriabank with 1 million 800,000 USD liquidation price. According to real estate agents, that time the market price for it was 3-4 million USD. It was also mentioned that Gasparyan acquired the mansion through different illegal deals and schemes paying just 200,000 USD.
