Armenia’s Prime Minister, OSCE Secretary General discuss Karabakh conflict settlement process
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger.
Welcoming the guest, Armenia’s PM stressed that Armenia highly rates cooperation with the OSCE and is ready to continue the effective partnership, government’s press service reports.
The interlocutors stressed the existing high level of partnership and discussed the prospects of its expansion.
The prime minister referred to the recent domestic political developments in Armenia, briefing on the reforms carried out in the country towards reinforcement of rule of law, fighting corruption. Pashinyan stressed that conduction of free, transparent and democratic elections is a priority for the Armenian government, and the authorities highly rate the support of the international partnership institutions, including the OSCE’s.
Thomas Greminger hailed the processes taking place in Armenia and expressed readiness to support the implementation of reforms in the country.
The interlocutors also referred to the Karabakh conflict regulation process. Speaking about it, Pashinyan signified the active efforts of the OSCE and international community toward establishing peace in the region and stressed that Armenia is committed to exclusively peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict in the sidelines of the OSCE Minsk Group.
