Zhoghovurd: Pashinyan wants Levon Ter-Petrosyan to replace incumbent president
Zhoghovurd paper writes: “Talks are being circulated in political circles that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wants to see Armenia’s first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan in the post of the incumbent president Armen Sarkissian.”
The paper says talks about replacement of Armen Sarkissian were circulating after the revolution, but now they seem to turn into activities.
“Armen Sarkissian has a legitimacy issue regarding his citizenship. He first rejected Armenia’s citizenship to become citizen of Britain and then again has become Armenia’s citizen,” the paper writes.
Asked to comment on the circulating news, Nikol Pashinyan’s spokesperson Armen Yeghoyan said, “I do not comment on information coming from suspicious circles,” the paper quoted him as saying.
