Nikol Pashinyan’s jokes can seriously harm Armenian-Russian relations – Eduard Sharmazanov
Nikol Pashinyan’s response to Sergey Lavrov’s statement about “boiling situation” in Armenia will have negative impact on Armenian-Russian relations, Vice Chairman of Armenia’s National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov said.
“We have many times drawn the attention of the government and Pashinyan on the existing tension in the Armenian-Russian relations, but our government partners and Pashinyan continue joking, and we see that this jokes have negative effect on Armenian-Russian relations,” Sharmazanov said, speaking to Aysor.am.
Referring to the statement of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that the situation in Armenia continues boiling and Russia is worried about it, Pashinyan said, “Yes, it was really rather hot today.”
Sharmazanov stressed that “it is time for the prime minister to become serious and stop making joking statements.” He stressed that with such jokes the government seriously harms the Armenian-Russian relations.
“Be serious, Mr Pashinyan, you can make such jokes at your party session. You are not an opposition MP anymore. Now your any word can have both positive and negative impact on the Armenian-Russian relations,” Sharmazanov said.
