Armenia’s PM offers changes in income tax sphere
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan offers formation of two taxing scales instead of existing three.
“People getting up to 150,000 AMD salary are taxed by 23%, those getting from 150,000 to 2 million are taxed by 28% and those getting more than 2 million are taxed by 36%,” the PM said in a Facebook live video.
He said he offers establishing 250,000 AMD as a salary threshold instead of 150,000 AMD.
“Thus, those getting up to 250,000 AMD will pay 20% tax and those who get more than 250,000 will be taxed by 25%,” he said.
Nikol Pashinyan stressed such system will register noticeable income tax reduction which he said will have a positive effect.
