Armenia’s Police receive note from Russia on canceling search for Armenia’s ex defense minister
Armenia’s Police have received a note from Russian Federation about canceling the search declared for Armenia’s ex defense minister Michael Harutyunyan, police press service informed Aysor.am.
As to what proceedings are to follow afterwards, the police officials found it difficult to say.
Earlier Aysor.am reported citing Interfax that Russia canceled the search for Armenia’s ex defense minister in its territory.
“After studying the materials of the case a decision has been made to cancel the search in the Russian territory,” the source said, adding that nothing threatens Harutyunyan in Russia’s territory but in case of traveling to CIS he might be detained and handed to Armenia.
CIS inter-state search has been declared for Harutyunyan after charges are brought against him over March 1, 2008 developments in Yerevan.
