No serious tension is ever possible in Armenian-Russian relations – Armenia’s President
Each meeting with president of a big country is essential and important for Armenian leadership and with Russian president in particular, President Armen Sarkissian said, speaking to reporters on Friday, asked about expectations from Pashinyan-Putin meeting.
The president stressed that people should not have expectations from every meeting.
“Armenian-Russian relations have century-long history. The government must have relations and there is no need of making drama from one-two meetings,” the president stressed.
He noted that the meeting will pass in positive and friendly atmosphere.
In response to Aysor.am question about tension in Armenian-Russian relations, the president said he does not see any long-term, deep tension. “I do not expect, and I do not think that such tension will ever be in Armenian-Russian relations,” Armen Sarkissian stressed.
