Security, development of armed forces absolute priorities for our state – Armenia’s PM
States and peoples have strongly developed instinct of self-preservation, and the velvet revolution that took place in Armenia was the expression of that instinct, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview to Zinuzh program.
“We all understand that in the created military political situation our state, our economy and people needed new impetus,” Pashinyan noted.
He said in the first row of ideas about the structure of Armenia’s economic progress was the creation or further development of high technology production industry. The PM though said in a recent report he read Armenia’s innovation and technological development level was assessed as low.
“But the existing human potential was assessed quite high regarding importing and developing innovations. We need to create new conditions to ensure technological breakthrough and development,” Pashinyan said, stressing that Armenia has great potential for technological breakthrough.
“Security, development of armed forces are absolute priorities for our state. There is nothing more serious than it. But one thing is clear, our armed forces cannot develop separately from public and public life. It means that we must not divert from this strategic prospect,” the PM said.
