Armenia, Georgia to boost bilateral economic cooperation
Armenia’s President Armen Sarkissian hosted today Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze who is in Armenia on an official visit.
Welcoming the guest and stressing the ancient long friendly relations between the two countries, the president said, “Currently our political relations are on high level but there is still an unused potential especially in the economy sector. I am convinced that your visit will contribute to the development of bilateral relations.”
Georgia’s PM in his turn thanked for the warm reception and noted the high level of political relations between the two countries. “Our political relations are on the highest level but as you have noted there is still an unused potential in economic relations. Today we have thoroughly discussed the directions of cooperation,” Mamuka Bakhtadze said.
He stressed that the inter-governmental commission is planning to conduct joint session and define the ways for development of economic relations.
During the meeting the sides stressed the existence of wide field for cooperation between the two countries and readiness of the two sides to boost it more.
