Constitutional reforms in Armenia possible only through political consensus – NA Chairman (video)
Constitutional reforms in Armenia are possible only through political consensus, Chairman of Armenia’s National Assembly Ara Babloyan told the reporters on Tuesday.
To Aysor.am question about his attitude toward the constitutional reforms which allow to dissolve the parliament, the NA chairman said, “First, we have not received the proposal yet. We will discuss it after we get it. It is a political process and may be reached only through discussions and political consensus. It cannot be a will of one or two political figures. It must be a result of consensus,” Babloyan stressed.
He also noted that he cannot say exact time for snap parliamentary elections. “I cannot say the exact time. As you know we have set up a special task group which works on legislative changes. These works have not been completed yet,” the NA chairman said.
