Nikol Pashinyan ordered Kocharyan’s, Khachaturov’s detention – Second president’s office

The office of the second president Robert Kocharyan has issued a statement claiming that the second president is being politically persecuted directly by Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the leaked conversation between the NSS director and SIS head leave no doubt for it.

“Judging from the record it becomes clear that the goal is not to reveal March 1 case and find the guilty but simply detain Kocharyan which is a classic example of political vendetta. A judge of first instance court who ruled the detention was under the pressure and his rule was dictated by the authorities,” the statement reads.

According to the statement, the decision to detain the second president and CSTO Secretary were directly ordered by Nikol Pashinyan.

“It is a crime with the participation of high-ranking officials,” the statement says.
