Nagorno Karabakh joins UN human rights basic documents, ratifies and implements them – Armenia’s FM

Armenia’s Foreign Affairs Minister who arrived in Geneva on a working visit met today with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet, MFA press service reports.

Michelle Bachelet noted that the domestic political developments in Armenia were under the limelight of the Office and hailed their peaceful nature.

The commissioner expressed readiness to support Armenia in implementation of democratic reforms.

The minister briefed to the commissioner on the preparation works for the 3d global “Against Genocide Crime” forum. He said Armenia will exert successive efforts in making this forum another platform for genocide prevention.

Referring to Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the minister reiterated Armenia’s commitment on exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflict in the sidelines of the OSCE Minsk Group.

He stressed that Nagorno Karabakh has joined the UN human rights basic documents, has ratified and implements them.
