Armenia to transform from agrarian into high technology country – Armenian PM

Armenia’s government want to transform Armenia from agrarian country into high technology country, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the meeting with members of the Movement of Enterprises of France (MEDEF), Aysor.am correspondent reports.

Presenting Armenia’s economic vision, the premier said, “We want to transform Armenia from agrarian country into high technology country, and it is not an empty ambition. Those who know Armenia are well aware of its huge human resources. Besides, all the preconditions have been created for it,” the PM said.

He said Armenia is not a leading country regarding innovations but tops with people's innovative skills.

“The IT sphere is developing, high technology companies are already expressing interest. We invite all investors to be part of the breakthrough Armenia is preparing to,” the PM said.
