Revolution to have no sense without economic breakthrough – Armenia’s PM
Velvet revolution without use of force took place in Armenia and it would have been senseless if we failed to register economic growth, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today in Paris at the meeting with members of the Movement of Enterprises of France (MEDEF), Aysor.am correspondent reports from Paris.
“Now is the most important phase of the revolution, and we must register an economic breakthrough for Armenia. I agree that clear rules are necessary for economic activity. We have stated about these rules many times, but I suppose not all believe in it in Armenia regarding our previous economic traditions,” Pashinyan stressed.
He said that after being elected Prime Minister he invited business circle representatives and stated that hence every businessman or each company is freed from previously existed corruption schemes.
“We have two conditions in relations with businessmen and investors – their activity must be legal and fit within the limits of law. We will assist everyone for creating jobs in Armenia and of course for paying taxes,” he said.
Pashinyan also stressed that they pay attention to businessmen’s signals about difficulties the Tax Code creates for them in their activity and conduct public discussions for making amendments in the code.
