Armenia’s Human Rights Defender’s Office receives calls on shelling of Armenia’s Baghanis, Chinar villages, prepares report to international institutions
The staff of the Armenian Human Rights Defender’s Office has received calls about shelling of border villages of Armenia’s Tavush province during the past few days, from September 13 to 15 in particular, by Azerbaijani armed forces.
In Baghanis the adversary opened fire in the direction of village school, houses of civilians, road taking to the village.
As a result of the fire opened toward Chinar village early in the morning of September 15 the kindergarten, houses of civilians have been damaged.
The damages showed that the fire was opened from large-caliber machine guns.
The Human Rights Defender will sum up the fact collecting works regarding the shelling of Armenian border villages by the Azerbaijani armed forces. The gathered facts show that the fire was opened intentionally against peaceful civilians endangering lives of children.
An extraordinary report will be published soon and sent to international institutions dealing with human rights issues.
