Armenia’s PM receives diplomats accredited in Georgia
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today ambassadors of Austria, China, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Iran, Poland, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Ukraine, France, Netherlands accredited in Georgia, Holy See representative, representatives of Switzeralnd’s embassy, UN representatives in Georgia.
Government’s press service reports that the premier welcomed the diplomats in Yerevan and stressed that the Armenian government attaches significance to the development and expansion of relations with the countries they are representing, with UN and the Holy See.
Pashinyan expressed hope that during their visit to Armenia they will have an opportunity to get familiarized with the developments taking place in Armenia after non-violent, velvet revolution.
The head of the executive power stressed that the steps of the government are addressed toward the development and reinforcement of democracy in Armenia, protection of human rights, development of civil society, improvement of governance system. Nikol Pashinyan said that in short period of time the government has registered serious results in fighting against corruption, monopoly, improvement of business environment.
He stressed that the amendments in the Tax Code will contribute to the implementation of new investment programs and to successful and effective business.
The Prime Minister answered to the questions of the diplomats referring to the conduction of snap parliamentary elections in Armenia, Armenia-Georgia, Armenia-EU relations, the implementation and priorities of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, implementation of regional energy programs, development of tourism.
