Despite revolution Armenian dram remained stable: Armenia’s PM
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today chairmen of Central Banks of Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states, who arrived in Armenia to participate in the events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of application of Armenian dram.
The premier welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude for participating in the events. He stressed that despite the revolution the Armenian dram continued being stable which is an important factor regarding the economic development.
The head of the government attached significance to the close cooperation among the EAEU central banks for developing financial markets, applying new mechanisms.
The premier voiced hope that the heads of the financial establishments will continue effective and constructive discussions for development of cooperation.
The CB chairmen briefed to the PM on the steps addressed toward expansion of future cooperation that will promote the development and deepening of trade-economic ties.
Ideas have also been exchanged over opportunity to implement reciprocal calculations with national currencies in the sidelines of the EAEU.
