Hence only free, just and transparent democratic elections to be held in Armenia – First Deputy PM
Hence only free, just and transparent democratic elections will be held in Armenia, Armenia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan wrote in his Facebook page today.
He said with the recent legislative changes for taking a bribe a person will pay 500,000-700,000 AMD fine or be sentenced to 1 up to 3 years imprisonment.
For giving bribe, the amended law envisages 2,5-3 million fine or 2-6 years imprisonment. For voting more than twice or for voting for another person 2-6 years’ imprisonment is envisaged by the law.
For rigging election results a person will be sentenced to 2-8 years imprisonment.
The police have right to use all the legal operative investigation tools to reveal the above mentioned crimes.
