Premier of “Wedding in Rear” performance staged by Gyumri’s Vardan Atchemyan theatre took place on September 16 in Culture and Youth Chamber of Nagorno Karabakh capital Stepanakert.
The Artsakh audience, including the servicemen and participants of the 2016 April war perceived the performance quite emotionally.
The photo published by director of the theatre Tigran Virabyan excited all – commander hugged crying soldier Arman Ordubekyan who lost his brother in the 2016 April war.
Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, speaking to Aysor.am said that he and all the people watching the performance were very excited. He said they all liked everything in it, the scenario and actor’s play.
“To say frankly I cried three times during it, it was just impossible to hold tears. It is a strong, powerful and contemporary performance. I have applied to corresponding bodies for presenting it in 3 military units as well,” the Primate said.
He also proposed to turn the performance into a film. “It would be very good to shoot a feature film on the basis of this performance for it to be available for wider circles as well,” he said, stressing that it should be presented not only to Armenian audience but in different corners of the world.
