Interference into criminal case proceeding puts under doubt its objectivity: Gevorg Kostanyan
Any interference into criminal case proceeding puts under doubt its objectivity, chairman of the NA’s State-Legal Affairs and Human Rights Protection Standing Committee Gevorg Kostanyan said, speaking to Aysor.am, referring to the consequences of the wiretapped conversation between the National Security Service director and Special Investigation Service chief.
He said the fact of wiretapping may be “extremely dangerous” for the fate of the criminal case.
“If there are obvious grounds to suppose that interventions are taking place into the case it will put under doubt the objectivity of the criminal case. Another issue is who intervenes and how,” Kostanyan said, adding that it will be discussed later.
The MP said if intervention has occurred in March 1 case proceeding, regarding choosing the preventive measures then justifications are to follow over it.
