All domestic political issues must be solved through consensus: NA chairman

In April-May 2018 the Armenian people and Armenian authorities once again showed to the world exclusive model of tolerance, Chairman of the Armenian National Assembly Ara Babloyan said today at the celebration of 100th anniversary of establishment the Armenian parliament.

“In April-May 2018 the Armenian people and Armenian authorities once again showed to the world exclusive model of tolerance and peaceful transition of power. As a result of peaceful rallies the Prime Minister of the country resigned, the parliament elected new PM, approved government’s program and the life returned to its natural flow,” he said, adding though that during the recent weeks the domestic political life is not calm again, and each blow is followed with another polarization of the society.

“We do not have right to divide people. The main lesson of the 100-year old Armenian parliamentarism is unity, glance to the future, combination of forces. I am sure that the best place for discussing ideas and thoughts is political platform – Armenia’s National Assembly. Thus we must gather here and solve issues through consensus like in civilized world,” the NA speaker said, congratulating all on the 100th anniversary of establishment of the Armenian parliament and wishing success and new achievements in further reinforcement of democracy in Armenia and Karabakh.
