168 Zham: Situation in Armenia dangerous for Karabakh – Russian expert

Russian military expert Vladimir Evseev in an interview to 168 Zham paper said: “The involvement of the new Armenian authorities in domestic affairs of the country is extremely big. New people with lack of management experience have appeared in the government. Azerbaijan hopes that the situation will become tensed and the new staff including the defense minister, chief of staff will fail to act properly. Azerbaijan understands that the disagreements inside Armenia will last for at least two years and this period will be very dangerous for Karabakh. The April war may repeat.”

According to him it is rather complicated to use CSTO in this issue as Kazakhstan is supporting Azerbaijan in Karabakh issue. “The case with Yuri Khachaturov raised negative attitude among the CSTO member states, thus using the CSTO potential in this issue will be rather difficult and the Armenian side should not tie hopes with it,” the expert said.
