Armenia’s position over Karabakh conflict settlement clearly fixed in government’s program : MFA Spokesperson
The principal position of Armenia over Karabakh conflict settlement is clearly fixed in the government’s program, Spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tigran Balayan told Aysor.am.
“If anyone puts under doubt our position he may once again read Armenia’s position over Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. It is clearly fixed in the government’s program approved by the parliament,” Tigran Balayan said.
Earlier today Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that Nagorno Karabakh will not get any status out of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty.
The government’s program approved in June clearly states that the main goal of Armenia’s foreign policy is protection of Armenia’s sovereignty, and ensuring security of Armenia and Artsakh.
“Status of Artsakh and its security are Armenia’s priorities in the negotiation process. The government reiterates that as a main negotiating side Artsakh must have a decisive voice and have full involvement in the process of reaching real, long-lasting peaceful settlement of the conflict,” the government’s program says.
