Official Yerevan against change of OSCE Minsk Group format: Armenian FM

The OSCE Minsk Group format remains the most practical and effective format of peace talks over Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrap Mnatsakanyan said in an interview to Public TV.

“The change of the format will not have any results. Naturally, we will be against it,” the minister said.

As to the issue on expanding the authorities of the office of the personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Mnatsakanyan said that Azerbaijan continues blocking this issue which refers not only to it, but in general to the creation of atmosphere that will promote peaceful settlement of the conflict, reinforcement of ceasefire regime, eliminate all dangers that may escalate the situation.

“This is more comprehensive issue which includes many sub-issues one of which is the expansion of capabilities of the office. We will continue working on the issue,” Mnatsakanyan said.
