AFF in search of new coach for Armenian national football team: Artur Vanetsyan
The resignation of the chief coach of the Armenian national football team Vardan Minasyan was unexpected, newly elected AFF chairman, NSS director Artur Vanetsyan said after the elections.
“Vardan Minasyan’s resignation was unexpected. We have not spoken with each other. We met only once. I did not expect him to resign,” Vanetsyan stated.
He said that after learning about Minasyan’s resignation they started searching for new coach. Opportunity for inviting foreign coach is also being discussed.
“We have few candidates, but I cannot name them. Let us wait for few days. After a final decision I will tell the name of the new coach,” Vanetsyan stressed.
Minasyan stated about his resignation on Friday, expressing gratitude to the Armenian national team for joint work and wishing the team new success.
