Anti-revolution impossible in Armenia: Nikol Pashinyan
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan who is in New York on a working visit met in the evening of September 23 with the representatives of the Armenian community.
Pashinyan informed the present that My Step bloc has won in the Yerevan City Council elections gathering 81% of votes. He stressed that the elections passed in free, fair and transparent atmosphere.
“It means that all those claims and talks which mention some forces who may carry out anti-revolution are vain. It is impossible and this has been registered by elections’ results,” the premier noted, adding that hence, the only thing that may be carried out in Armenia is ensuring independent judicial system, strengthening democracy and ensuring free economic competition.
Pashinyan stressed that currently there are no monopolies in Armenia and no privileged people and companies, all are equal before the law.
“There are many issues and the government is to solve them according to their priorities,” the Prime Minister said, adding that they refer to foreign political, economic and legal sectors.
