Armenia may become a bridge between European and Eurasian markets: NA chairman

Armenian delegation headed by the chairman of the Armenian National Assembly met on September 25 in Bern with Vice President of the Swiss Confederation Uli Mauer, NA press service reports.

Armenian NA speaker referred to the Armenian-Swiss relations, stressing the effective cooperation on inter-parliamentary level, highly rated the contribution of the parliamentary friendship groups to the development of bilateral ties.

Armenia’s NA speaker stressed that the Armenian-Swiss cooperation circle is quite wide and effective partnership is being implemented in all directions.

Speaking about regional integration processes the head of the parliament said that Armenia may become a bridge between European and Eurasian markets.

Vice President of the Swiss Confederation Uli Mauer noted that Armenian-Swiss relations have strong grounds. During the meeting the parties also referred to the activity of the Swiss-Armenian trade chamber, necessity of intensification economic relations. Ara Babloyan particularly spoke about importance of Armenia-Switzerland direct flights.
