Armenia’s PM hopes democratic development in the region to exclude military actions, wars
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan who is in New York on a working visit participated on September 24 in the summit dedicated to the solution of global issue of drugs.
The participants had a protocol photo with U.S. President Donald Trump after which working discussions launched, governmental press service reports.
After it Nikol Pashinyan was present at the opening of Nelson Mandela Peace Summit. U.S. President Donald Trump and leaders of many countries participating in the UN General Assembly’s 73d session were also present at the event.
Armenia’s President delivered a speech at the event where among many issues he touched upon regional ones.
“I am coming from a region, where, unfortunately, the bloody conflicts, corrupted management system and hatred between peoples often shadow the love and necessity of living together peacefully. I hope one day the democratic development in our region will exclude military actions, wars and hatred. Armenia has chosen this way and is unanimously speaking for the necessity of regional peace, stability and reconciliation,” the PM stressed in his speech.
The delegation headed by Nikol Pashinyan visited the Armenian cross-stone of 12-13th century placed in UN headquarters.
