Continuity of Armenia’s foreign policy proves Armenia being predictable and reliable partner: PM
Despite radical changes in Armenia’s domestic political life no sharp turns have been registered in foreign political agenda of the country, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said, addressing the 73d Summit of the UN General Assembly.
“The continuity of Armenia’s foreign policy depicts Armenia as predictable and reliable partner. Our international commitments are not subject to revision. Our position is clear. Armenia is ready for constructive dialogue and cooperation with all its partners. We are not going to develop our relations with one partner on the account of relations of the other,” the PM stated.
“Armenia is engaged in comprehensive and viable cooperation programs under UN’s auspices. Armenia participates in peace processes in Afghanistan, Lebanon, Kosovo, Mali etc. It is of special importance for our country which itself has serious security concerns. We clearly realize that the security of our country is closely tied with the security of other countries, and that the global peace needs agreed actions,” Pashinyan said in his speech.
The Armenian PM also referred to the conflict in Syria, stressing that the Syrian-Armenian community is endangered because of Syrian crisis. “Armenia is trying to assist critical regions through humanitarian aid. We are ready to expand our humanitarian mission for the improvement of living conditions of our Syrian compatriots,” he said.
