President of Lebanon to visit Armenia

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan met in UN headquarters with President of Lebanon Michel Naim Aoun.

During the meeting the parties attached significance to the continuous development of Armenian-Lebanese friendly relations and hailed the high level of bilateral political cooperation.

The leaders of the countries attached significance to necessity of deepening ties in economic sector and stressed the need of growth of volume of trade turnover between the two countries. In this regard the parties stressed the necessity of conducting business forums.

Nikol Pashinyan and Michel Aoun discussed issues on developing cooperation in different spheres, referred to the process of preparation of Francophone summit in Yerevan.

President of Lebanon reiterated the readiness to participate in the summit and expressed conviction that it will pass on the highest level.

The interlocutors also highlighted the role of the Lebanese Armenian community in developing bilateral ties.
