Armenian, Indian FMs discuss cooperation issues
Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrap Mnatsakanyan met with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj in New York on September 26, MFA press service reports.
The foreign ministers stressed the essential role of periodical consultations between the two ministries and high-level visits. The parties also attached significance to the activity of Armenian-Indian inter-governmental committee in development of bilateral relations.
Zohrap Mnatsakanyan stressed Armenia’s commitment to continue process of reforms in the country addressed to strengthening democracy, rule of law, protection of human rights, fighting against corruption.
The Armenian minister thanked the Indian counterpart for assistance of the Indian government to implementation of IT projects in Armenia.
The two ministers also exchanged thoughts over regional issues and ways of their solution, reiterating the necessity of peaceful settlement of all existing conflicts.
