Armenia should review presence of Russian military base in the country: Garegin Chugaszyan

Everything, including nation, loses everything and vanishes itself if it does not follow its mission, member of Sasna Tsrer presidency Varuzhan Avetisyan stated at the party’s congress today.

“We diverted from our mission and this is the reason why it all happened to us. The rest is the circles of the chain of consequences,” Avetisyan stressed.

He said the first step to be done is the change of mentality. “We must and we can build a national state, self-organize and launch the development path,” Avetisyan said.

Another member of the party’s presidency Garegin Chugaszyan said that Armenia considers Russia to really be a serious partner for it but the restart of relations first of all demands review of Russia’s military presence in Armenia.

“Entrusting security of its border to foreign security guard forces is unacceptable for Armenia, thus first of all it is necessary to withdraw these forces and deploy Armenian border guards on the border,” Chugaszyan said.
