Yelk faction head describes proposed changes to NA Regulation “miserable attempt to remain stuck to mandates”
The changes in the NA Regulation initiated by the Republicans are aimed at recognizing the session during which PM is not elected failed, Yelk faction head Lena Nazaryan said.
She claims that the changes suggest cancelling the provision that allows parliament to be dissolved by the law in case of not electing PM for the second time.
“We are being presented a bill which will consider the session during which PM will not be elected failed. They say if emergency situations occur or MPs presence in the parliament be impeded by threat the NA chairman may state that this session is interrupted and consider it failed. Why is it being done? What are the Republicans afraid of? If suddenly in case of PM's resignation the citizens gather near the NA and do not allow the MPs enter the NA and participate in the election of PM the elections will not take place. In case it is done twice the NA may be dissolved,” she said.
Nazaryan stressed that the whole parliament’s potential is addressed at failing the conduction of snap parliamentary elections.
She stressed that arrogance, disobedience do not allow some to display wisdom and find strength not to oppose people’s will. “Such behavior may be qualified as miserable attempt to remain stuck to their mandates,” she concluded.
