PAP and PM have no agreement over not nominating candidacy: PAP vice speaker
No agreement has been reached at the meeting with Armenia’s Prime Minister, NA vice speaker Michael Melkumyan told the reporters.
“The government remained in its viewpoint, claiming that elections are to be held in December,” he said.
Asked whether there was an agreement over not nominating candidacy, Melkumyan said they have discussed all the possible issues.
“We talked over everything but we have not reached final decision over anything,” he said, adding that they have agreed to continue talks.
“We believe that the snap elections should be conducted in May, June and ground our viewpoint with the necessity of adoption of new Electoral Code,” Melkumyan said.
The PAP vice chairman said that if there is a wish to immediately adopt new Electoral Code everything is possible.
After the negotiations in the NA, Armenia’s PM Nikol Pashinyan stated at the rally that the parliamentary forces perceive people’s message and respect their position.
