No grounded justification for conduction of snap parliamentary elections: Armen Ashotyan
The decision of the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan over resignation and conduction of snap parliamentary elections in December is a pre-planned action plan, vice chairman of the Republican party Armen Ashotyan told the reporters on Wednesday.
“He spoke about it after the meeting with the head of the Republican party faction Vahram Baghdasaryan and the adoption of yesterday’s bill is just a pretext to speed-up the implementation of own political programs,” Ashotyan stressed.
He said the PM and his team want capitalization of their 2/3 in the NA as mandates, which is another issue.
“If the reason is the justification they try to present to us, I will say neither of them resists criticism, neither the economic justification nor the others. There is only one justification – Nikol Pashinyan wants to have majority in the parliament and God forbid if it is being done in the sidelines of geo-political games,” Ashotyan said.
