RPA not to nominate candidate if PM accepts offer to conduct snap elections in May: Armen Ashotyan
Armenia’s PM Nikol Pashinyan was offered to come to agreement with the three factions over the time of conduction of snap parliamentary elections if he wants memorandum to be signed, vice chairman of the Republican party Armen Ashotyan told the reporters on Wednesday.
“The best concession variant offered to the PM was postponing the conduction of elections till May to be able to reform the Electoral Code, inform international observers for them to come to monitor the elections, allow other parties get prepared for elections, calm the situation down and then conduct elections,” he said.
He said their decision not to nominate a candidate may be part of this offer.
“The PM said he is ready to speak about everything but December. Very witty definition for moving his own political position forward,” Ashotyan said.
