Armenia’s DM, Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces meet with Karabakh’s command staff
Armenia’s Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan and Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Artak Davtyan departed for Artsakh Republic (Nagorno Karabakh) in the sidelines of cooperation of the defense forces of the countries, spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannisyan reported.
The Armenian minister and Chief of General Staff met with the Defense Minister of Artsakh Levon Mnatsakanyan and the command staff.
During the meeting issues on cooperation between the two countries in the defense sector and on raise of efficiency of the armed forces were discussed.
Referring to Nagorno Karabakh issue, Tonoyan said that Armenia’s leadership is for peaceful settlement of the conflict via negotiations.
Minister Tonoyan also urged to preserve the ceasefire regime as instructed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and added that the talks over peaceful settlement of the conflict may be extended due to some reasons thus the Armenian Armed Forces must ensure constant growth of efficiency.
