People dissatisfied with PM’s resignation scenario: Nikol Pashinyan
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan found it difficult to say when exactly he will resign.
“When we are speaking about resignation we are speaking about the situation when for carrying out pure legal procedures de jure resignation is necessary not de facto,” Pashinyan said, adding that there is a huge public dissatisfaction over his resignation.
“I do not want us to be like the authorities whose resignation people demand for years while they stubbornly do not leave and to be authorities whose resignation people do not want but they stubbornly resign,” he said.
Pashinyan stressed that they should act in a perceivable way for all.
“Of course I should not do anything to even theoretically endanger the people’s authority, but we must by all means conduct snap parliamentary elections,” he said, adding that he would have chosen to resign but due to public disagreement another thorough discussion will be held over this scenario.
