Armenia’s President discusses domestic political situation with PM, NA Chairman

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, as promised earlier, initiated consultations with Prime Minister and National Assembly chairman immediately upon his return to the country.

Today in his residence the President met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and National Assembly Chairman Ara Babloyan, president’s press office reports.

During the meeting the interlocutors discussed the domestic political situation created in the country, the ways of the solution of the issues. In this regard the parties attached significance to the maintenance of stability and atmosphere of tolerance in the country.

Armen Sarkissian hailed the negotiations held before and stressed that dialogue is the only way for finding solutions to the issues.

The president expressed hope that the society and the political forces will continue displaying wisdom and soberness and will be guided by the interests of the state, Constitution and laws.
