USA highlights further expansion of Armenian-American mutually beneficial cooperation: George Kent
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs George Kent.
The PM hailed the visit of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State to Armenia which he said creates good opportunity for discussing agenda of bilateral relations and opportunities for development of cooperation.
Kent stressed that he is happy to visit Armenia in the period of changes taking place in the country and added that the United States highlights the further expansion of mutually beneficial partnership.
The Prime Minister referred to the domestic political processes and noted that Armenia is constantly moving forward through the path of democratic development which is not foreign political orientation but an inner belief and value for Armenian soceity.
The head of the government spoke about successive works carried out for fighting against corruption and reforms initiated in different spheres.
Deputy Assistant Secretary of State noted that the U.S. Government is interested in Armenia’s success in development of democracy, economic progress and ready to assist the Armenian government in the implementation of reforms.
During the meeting the interlocutors also exchanged ideas over Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement issue and other regional, international issues of mutual interest.
