Secretaries General of Inter-Parliamentary Union to gather in Yerevan

The session of the Association of Secretaries General of Inter-Parliamentary Union started on October 15 and will continue until October 18 in Geneva with the participation of Armenia’s NA Chief of Staff - Secretary General Ara Saghatelyan.

The agenda of the session includes issues on ensuring transparency of parliaments’ activity, application of contemporary technology in staffs, parliament-government dialogue and the legal and administrative procedures.

In the margins of the session works Ara Saghatelyan had a number of bilateral meetings, including with the Secretaries General of the parliaments of Georgia and Ukraine. 

During the meeting it has been reaffirmed that workshop of the secretaries general of parliaments will be held in Yerevan on December 6-7. 

Besides the agenda issues during the workshop innovations and the progressive experience implemented during recent years in the National Assembly of Armenia will also be presented.

Secretary General of PACE Wojciech Sawicki  has also expressed readiness to participate in the workshop.
